Digipak
Digipak
For the front cover, I chose an image of the protagonist holding a sign saying 'Tea Party'. Again, I distorted her face and I chose to distort the writing on the sign. The reason behind this is because I want to present the idea that the classic fairytale story isn't as perfect as it's portrayed. Also, distorting her face on the front cover and on my poster hides her identity and will make the audience curious about what she looks like, it will eventually make them want to watch the music video.
The left inside of my digipak is a blurred image of the protagonist's dress. Upside down you're unable to actually see what is happening in the image but it's of the protagonist running from the camera. This image fits with the front cover as it has similar colours and features, such as the forest background and her dress.
The right inside of my digipak is where the cd tray goes. It's a close up image of a key hole which we're able to see through, on the other side of the key hole is a forest setting with a white rabbit situated in the middle of the pathway. I first discovered an image similar to this one, however, I didn't like how they had put the image together so I used the same key hole image after unsuccessfully finding one one Google Images. Additionally, I found a white rabbit on Google Images to use as there is no way I'd be able to get my own picture of this. I did in fact take my own forest image and photoshopped that image behind the key hole as well

Lastly, the back image of my digipak is an image of a forest. I used the same image for the right side of my digipak. The reason behind having the same image as my back cover is because I like the idea of linking certain features to one another. By this I mean once opening the digipak you see a keyhole and you are able to see what's past the key hole and when you close the digipak you see the image for what it really is - minus the white rabbit. Another reason for using the same image is because the right side of my digipak and the backcover fit with each other as do the front cover and the left side of my digipak.
As my album is a single I have only listed three songs: three are all the same but a remix and acoustic and the last one is a new song. As we have seen on my poster and on the front cover of my digipak I have used the painstroke frequently and so I have used it again but on my backcover. By using it I have interlinked my digipak and poster together. I have then added the common features that you traditionally see on the backcover such as the barcode, the record label, website and the small print.

CD
Much like the right side of my digipak, I have used the same image for my CD as it would fit into place with the CD tray.

Album poster
First draft

The main image on my album poster is of the protagonist. By her being on my poster the audience will be able to identify her as the main character but also, they may get an indication that the music video will follow an Alice In Wonderland concept. This concept should be noticeable by the costume my protagonist is wearing, as well as her being associated within a forest setting. Additionally, the reason I have distorted my main characters face is because I'm trying to present the idea of a twist to the classic fairytale, I want to show that not everything is as perfect as it's said to be.
The image I have used of the main character is different from the one found on my digipak in the sense that not her whole body is shown, however, her face is again distorted. I chose to put an image of a rabbit next to her because you will see a similar image of a rabbit within my digipak. By choosing to do this I have then interlinked my digipak and my poster.
For my typography, I have chosen a bold font for the artists name and it is placed on a blue paint stroke. The paint stroke is used several times on my poster and you'll also see it on my digipak. I edited the colour of one of the painstrokes to make it stand out from the other one. The reason for the artists name being bold is so it emphasises the purpose of the advert and it catches the audiences it. Beneath it I have briefly mentioned the song I will be using using. By that being in such thinner font, it contrasts largely by the bold font of the artists name and is eye-catching. I chose to include two quotes from magazines reviewing the album with a star rating.
At the bottom of the poster I added an extra feature of 'available on itunes' as it's a common feature found on album adverts.
Second draft
The main image of my poster is, again, of the protagonist. She is holding a sign that reads 'Tea Party', the reason behind this is because in my music video there is a clip of the two characters walking past the sign and the tea party in the original movie of Alice In Wonderland is one of the most well known scenes. I have used the same image from the front cover of my digipak because then it's clear to see the link between the poster and the digipak.
For my typography, I have used a bold font for the artists name over several white paintstrokes as this makes it stand out from the rest of the poster. Beneath it is the writing 'Featuring Hole in my Heart' in swirly writing as it looks fantasy-like and I feel it fits with the theme and look that I want my poster to give. Towards the bottom of the poster are two blue painsttrokes and each one has a review on from newspapers/magazines. I chose to have reviews on my poster because it's a common feature found on adverts.
The last two features on my poster are the small print often seen on the back of digipaks and the record labels logo.

Lyrics to my chosen song (Hole In My Heart)
Since you've been gone nothing makes any sense
Cause being with you was the thing I did best
Now that it's over what else have I left?
Cause I need you so much I can't lose you I need you to know
You might have gone but I'll never let go
Cause one day I know that you'll come back home
Cause I won't let go
There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?
There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…
Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?
Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!
Since you've been gone!
I want you so much that it hurts me to think
That we'll be like strangers the next time we meet
Cause I used to have everything that you need
And I need you so!
There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?
There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…
Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?
Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!
Since you've been gone!
There's a hole in my heart! [3x]
With all the answers
Maybe we could save this!
This hole in my heart! [3x]
Is this L-O-V-E?
Somebody tell me what's happening to me?
Is this L-I-F-E?
Somebody tell me, just what's happening to me!
There's a hole in my heart, can you fix it?
There's a hole in my heart, since you've been gone…
